FXguide: HALON Previs, War for the Planet of the Apes at Comic-Con

FXguide did a pretty in-depth interview with myself and one of my lead artists on our Previs/Postvis work at HALON for War for the Planet of the Apes.

I was very impressed by the depth of knowledge of Mike Seymour, the interviewer. Usually, we don't get too technical on interviews, so this was fun and refreshing.

Working on Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Animation World Network has a nice interview piece of both myself and Brad Alexander on our work designing sequences in both previs and postvis for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. As a VFX artist, I never even had it as a dream to work on a Star Wars film because I didn't really enter the industry until after the prequels and I simply couldn't fathom the opportunity arising.

It was a lot of fun working with Oscar nominated VFX Supervisor Roger Guyett and the entire team at Bad Robot creating some of the most iconic shots and sequences for the first in the new trilogy. I can pretty much hang my VFX hat now and ride off into the sunset....

...but I'm not done just yet.
